Acquiring image date on birds eye images RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was wondering whether there is a way of finding the date of a birds eye image, I can get the date from a aerial image, but in birds eye images the metadata date result is returned as NULL - NULL, it would be extremely useful to get the dates of the angled birds eye images for this list of sites -

As I am doing my Geography thesis on Brachypodium pinnatum which is a slightly yellowish invasive grass in chalk grasslands and I am using dated satellite images (currently from google - but the bing angled aerials are much higher quality but undates).

If anyone knows a way of approximating or finding these dates i would be extremely thankful

  • Unfortunately, it is not available in the service.

Take a look at this page to get full information about the kind of object and information that are returned: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff701712.aspx

The response returned by an Imagery Metadata URL request contains a resource that provides imagery metadata information. If the metadata requested is for Birdseye imagery, a Birdseye Metadata resource is returned. For other types of imagery, an Imagery Metadata resource is returned.
