In Vista, iis hosted website fails to display images and ignores css files RRS feed

  • Question

  • After working in Windows XP and IIS 6, I got a new computer that came with Vista.  After installing (and now reinstalling) VS 2008 Team System, all my web pages in IIS 7 have lost all images, and my css files are being totally ignored.  When I install the compiled project in Windows 2003 Server with IIS 6, everything works as expected.  If I move my development site from IIS to the ASP.Net Development server, everything works just fine.  Surely there is something I am missing somewhere.

I am at my wits' end, any help will be appreciated.

  • Never mind.  I discovered the IIS 7 site at http://learn.iis.net/  Problem was that I had not checked all the needed boxes when installing the iis 7.  I still don't see my images but at least my css files are no longer being ignored.  A little more snooping will probably get the images to display.
