Windows login account getting locked RRS feed

  • Question

  • My windows account is getting locked frequently. I have updated the changed password everywhere including all the services. Still it shows that a Window Service is locking the account. I am sure that I have uninstalled that window service as it's not shown in services.msc list.

    Please help.

    Thanks, AT

  • Hi Aishwarya,

If you have access to domain controllers, I would suggest you download Account Lockout Status tool from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=15201), if you haven't already. Then run the tool and see which domain controller is initiating the lock. From there, investigate the security audit log of that particular DC to identify the source of the incorrect login attempt.

    Thank you.
