sending mail background message RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are using a program that will send mail on the background on a PC with Microsoft Outlook 2003. We use Exchange Server 2003.
The problem is that every mail we want to send out that program creates a messagebox which nee approval to send mail. This is due to security Outlook. In Windows XP there was the registry setting checkadminsettings. This solved the problem with the message.
However in Windows 7 the reg does not work anymore.

We are now searching for a solution within Windows 7. How to send Email from that program without the messagebox which needs approval and then waits 10 seconds.
The programmeur has tried a vbscript which sends the mail directly from the program to the mailserver however this creates a error:
    Run time error -2147220973
Transportfunction can not reache the server.

The command on the button to send the mail thru CDO is: objMailItem. To = "webmaster@outlookcode.com

How can i send the mail without the messagebox within WIndows 7?

  • Hi,

you could use a third party tool. Outlook Redemption (http://www.dimastr.com/redemption/) has a complete CDO replacement which works very well.

    Kind regards,
