What is difference between abc.config and abc.exe.config? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

Can you provide me explanation about it?

I have application abc.exe ,when i run it on Windows Server 2003 it is asking for abc.config.

but when i run it on Win7,the app is working fine.

I do see the CONFIG File Type on Win7 for abc.exe.config

and XML configuration file on Windows Server 2003.

Is there any difference between this 2 type?

    Thanks

    Vikram

  • According to another thread it seemed to have to have with the manifest. Take a look in this thread and see if it helps you.
