Installing Exchange Server 2010 on Windows Server 2012 RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I am trying to install Exchange Server 2010 on Windows Server 2012 but it failed when it start the Organization Preparation step.

    Organization Preparation
    Failed

    Error:
    The following error was generated when "$error.Clear();install-ExchangeSchema -LdapFileName ($roleInstallPath + "Setup\Data\"+$RoleSchemaPrefix + "schema0.ldf")

    " was run: "The system cannot find the file specified".


    Note that all prerequisites have been installed as instructed in technet site: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691354(v=exchg.141).aspx

    Any idea on how to solve this problem?

    what version of Exchange 2010 tryed to install ? RTM or SP3 ?

    To fix your issue, I want to confirm:
    1. Have you installed Exchange server in current environment before, include prepare AD and schema?
    2. Which account are you used to install Exchange? How about run it with domain administrator?
    3. Do you upgrade Windows server to latest update?
    4. Have you installed all prerequisites on this server, include Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT), all Windows features for Exchange, the Microsoft Office 2010 Filter Pack and also SP1, .Net FrameWork 3.5?

    Members of Organization management,schema admin,enterprise admin,domain admin

  • Install Exchange Server 2010 SP3 to start, not the RTM version.  Download it from here:
