  • This log is not related IIS log files, also ftp adapter doesn't have any dependencies on windows ftp service/IIS.

You need to enter a physical path ( including the filename, ex: c:\ftplog.txt ) in the log field while configuring the ftp adapter. All the ftp commands and responses that are exchanged between ftp adapter and server will get logged in this file.

  • I don't have much idea about mainframes but i will try and fill in some of the gaps w.r.t biztalk ftp adapter here.

BeforePut: needs to contain the SITE command with different settings as per your requirements.
Log: it is the ftp command/response log on the biztalk client machine.
TargetFileName: you can just give the filename here.
TempFolder: no need to use this.
Representation: needs to be ASCII since mainframe will convert it and store in EBCDIC format.

  • Thanks Anand,

I shall give a try with the things you have given.
I got once more question you said the FTP log is on BTSClient machine.

    I know i should be looking under Windows\System32\Logfiles\ ...

But i dont see any folder related FTP under log files. Also the FTP Service under Windows Component wizard and IIS from control panel is not enabled do i need to make it enabled for FTP to work.

    Thanks,
