  • For some more context this is when installing vstor_redist.exe in order, hopefully, to then install PowerPivot 2010.

  • Hello Sylphrena,

Did you install the required .net framework version before running the Visual Studio Tools for Office Runtime Redistributable? Do you run the installer as an administrator?

See How to: Install the Visual Studio Tools for Office Runtime Redistributable for more information.

Where, when and how do you run the installer? Could you please be more specific?

  • Yes I have .Net Framework 4 and when I ran the installer I right clicked and selected 'run as administrator', however I am not logged in as an administrator, merely a user.

Is it Client Profile or the full edition?

If you are not logged as an administrator you should get a dialog prompt for entering admin credentials. Do you get any dialog?
