Intermittent issues with application masking RRS feed

  • We're seeing intermittent issue with application masking where a user sometimes will get their application masked even though they are allowed access. The users are connecting to a non-persistent Windows 10 VDI and logging off and back on sometimes resolves the issue. This is happening randomly for our users. Even with a profile reset, the issue may come back.

    UPDATE - looking at the log file "AdsComputerGroup" from C:\ProgramData\Fslogix\Logs\AdsComputerGroup we identified the following error 

    [08:04:15.834][tid:00001610.000005d0][ERROR:8007054b]  Failed to get computer's group SIDs (The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.)

    For some reason FSLogix is no longer able to determine the SID of the machine thus not processing any of the rulesets. Although there were no issues logging into the computer, the only workaround was to initiate a machine password reset via powershell. Once the reset was done, rebooting the machine and logging back in we see that all the rulesets are applied. The same log also does not have any errors indicating the error above.
