Develope SharePoint 2007 in Visual Studio 2010 RRS feed

  • I Recently started to work on a SharePoint 2007 Project.

    System Specs: Windows Server 2008 R2 x64

    Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate

    SharePoint 2007

    Note: SharePoint 2010 is not installed

    My Problem is Can we develop SharePoint 2007 Components in Visual Studio 2010, cz there are no template under SharePoint 2007 Templates and I cannot create SharePoint 2010 Items cz SharePoint 2010 is not installed.

    Visual studio 2010 is tightly integrated for SharePoint 2010 development. However you do some tricks to do web part development in Visual studio 2010 that target for SharePoint 2007.

    Install WSP Buider 2010 beta version .

    the below one is example of how to develop a webpart for sharepoint 2007 in visual studio 2010.

    this cannot be done as i select SharePoint 2010 Project and click creat it gives an error saying "Not Installed" or something... as i mentioned in my Question, in my Environment, SharePoint 2010 is not Installed.
