Unable to open VS2008 Silverlight project file in Blend June 2008 Preview RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've created a fresh Silverlight 2 project and solution with VS2008 9.0.21022.8 and 3.5 SP1 Framework and June Blend Preview.  The project opens fine in Visual Studio, but when I try to open it in Blend, I get:

"Opening this website may take a long time.  Do you wish to continue."

If I select "Yes", then Blend hangs forever trying unsuccessfully to open the project.

This happens whether I attempt to open the project directly in Blend, or if I select a .xaml page in Studio and then right click."Open in Expression Blend".

    Here's the project file:

  •  Are you using Silverlight 2 RC 0 (which was released yesterday)? If so, you should use Blend 2 SP1 Preview instead of Blend 2.5 June Preview.

    Thanks,
    Adrian
