I've been using the Windows Developer Preview on a Dell Duo tablet, and like a the High Contrast desktop theme (with black window backgrounds).
Reading articles in IE, the white text on a dark background really helps the eyes in a dim lit room.
I suggest that more of these light on dark themes be provided offering dynamic RSS background images with various window color combinations.
This will save on battery life and makes the windows desktop seem more connected with the Metro UI.
