Plotting Multiple Coordinates with Route Line RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have created a map application in PowerApps. I want to use Bing Maps so I can draw a route line between the coordinates. I was able to plot the coordinates in Google Maps but cannot do a route line. Here is what I used with Google Maps:

    "https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/staticmap?center= " & First(colTrucks).Latitude & "," & First(colTrucks).Longitude & "&zoom="&Slider1.Value&"&size=1340x404&key=AIzaSyB6H-z3ikRFI3RseejUY1YHf9C0_OFSFnw"&Concat(colTrucks,"&markers=size:tiny%7Ccolor:red%7Clabel:%7C" & Latitude & "," & Longitude & "&path=weight:3|color:blue" & Latitude & "," & Longitude)

I want to be able use the custom Lat and Longs with Bing Maps. I was able to get the below example to work but do not know how to implement my Lat and Longs into the code. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Hello Wynne,

Please take a look at our documentation at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/bingmaps/rest-services/routes/calculate-a-route

Specifically, the section on the waypoint parameter. For a lat long pair, you would use the "point" option like waypoint.1=47.610,-122.107

Note: Lat long pairs can be an issue if that point is not "Routable". If you are geocoding first and then making the call, be sure you are choosing the "routable" or front door street side point rather than one that is outside of where a vehicle can reach.

    Sincerely,
