OnAction Doesn't seem to work with 64-bit MS Word Addin RRS feed

  • Question

  • I created an MS Word BackStage UI using Visual Studio 2010. Everything seems to be working fine but with 64-bit MS Word this OnAction is not responding. Other events like Document Change, BeforeDocumentClose seems to work fine. The problem is only with OnAction. Can someoen help me in resolving this issue?

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    <customUI xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2009/07/customui" onLoad="Ribbon_Load">
      <backstage>
        <button id="MyAddin" getEnabled="GetEnabled" insertAfterMso="TabInfo" label=" Convert ODT To Word" imageMso="FileSaveAs" onAction="OnAction" isDefinitive="true" />
      </backstage>
    </customUI>

  • Do you have a corresponding method "OnAction" in your Ribbon class? How are you defining it?

    Yes it is there in Connect.cs class. This is the same plugin for which I've mosted numerous threads in this post. Now I am working on 64-bit version of this plugin.

    public void OnAction(IRibbonControl control)
    {
        ------------------------------------------------
        ------------------------------------------------
        ------------------------------------------------
    }
