Will Windows 10 Metro add standard os organization functionality for the creation/use of folders?

    Question

  • Windows 8 Metro is missing standard os organization functionality which is found in Android/IOS/Windows 8 Desktop for the creation/use of folders. This is basic functionality for browsing - touch included.

  • You can post feature requests at http://wpdev.uservoice.com .

You will need to explain the feature request and the scenarios it targets clearly. In what way does what you are looking for differ from what you can do with a StorageFolder?

  • We cannot discuss future versions of the OS.

That said, the StorageFolder class already allows creating folders wherever the app had permission to do so.

  • Is this already on a wish list for Windows Metro somewhere?  If not can I get it added?
