Issue while running LoadTesting in Agent RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, While running load testing in agent, it is getting aborted with an error "Agent process stopped execution on 'Agent Name'". This is happening when I have added the loadtest plug in. Please help me out to resolve this issue. Have ran the load test in VS 2013

  • Hi SujiK29,

Which kind of test type did you add to the load test, coded UI tests or the web performance test?

If you create a simple load test, and then run it remotely, how about the result? Please also run it locally without the remote test tools.

If all tests have the same issue, I think we would think about the Test controller and test agent configurations and connections.

We could collect the detailed log messages:

    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/aseemb/archive/2009/11/28/how-to-enable-test-controller-logs.aspx

    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/c768bdd7-8aa5-4df0-b83d-8b1e76a46eae/visual-studio-test-controller-log-file?forum=tfsadmin

But if just the specific one load test has this issue, I think it would be not the remote test tool issue.

As you said that it has this issue using the plug-in, how about the result without this plug-in?

At least, we could know that whether it is related to this load test plug-in, of course, please also run this load test locally, check it again.

    Best Regards,

    Jack

  • Hi Jack,

    Thanks for responding.

I'm using web performance load test. But I have added the unit test of project in this load test.

This issue is occuring, when I'm running loadtest with loadtest plugin. Without that the test is running fine.

The same is not happening in local, even with plugin. Please help me to sort out.

    Thanks!!

    Regards,

    Sujitha K

  • Hi Sujitha K,

If so, we could make sure that the real issue would be related to your custom plug-in.

Could you collect the detailed load test log?

"Sve Log on test Failure =True"will save logs of the tests that fail.

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff361774.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

Please also enable the test agent log messages:

    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/aseemb/archive/2010/03/07/how-to-enable-test-agent-logs.aspx

If we make sure that it is related to your custom plug-n, not the direct solution for this issue, but maybe you could comment out the select line code in your plug-in, and then run it again. At least, we could know that whther it is related to the specific line code.

    Best Regards,

    Jack
