Is it possible to style the Windows.UI.Popups.MessageDialog

    Question

  • Right now it has a semi-transparent black background and green buttons on it. Not very informative if I want to display an error message.

So is there css3 style we can apply to the message dialog?

  • Hi Phil,

No there is not any current way to change this.  Can you expand on what you mean by "not very informative"?

  • Its just that I saw red and blue backgrounds on those message dialogs in various MS sample apps/screens. It would be nice and more informative if error messages would have a red background. Like "Login failed". When written on the default dark background its barely visible.

  • Hi Phil,

Look for the MessageDialog to be much more readable in future releases.

  • sounds good Jeff, looking forward to it. So that means the API is still in development?

  • Hi Phil,

Yes.  This is only the developer preview and throughout this preview and the beta you can expect some changes as we find issues and get developer feedback!
