Framework 3.5 conflict w/ vbscript timer function RRS feed

3.5 has a new timer class which just happens to share the same name as the timer function in VB.

On my page I use the timer function to gather how long it takes to complete a search for the database.  My old 2.0 code won't work in 3.5 anymore.

Dim ASP_Timer As Double = Timer

Is there a way to force .Net to run Timer as a VB function?

    I figured out the solution.

Just use DateAndTime.Timer() instead of just Timer.  This will avoid the complict.

    Gota love namespace/class polution.
