AzureStorage connection manager in Visual Studio 2017 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Trying to port an SSIS package from Visual Studio 2015 to Visual Studio 2017, I get the error "Unable to create the type with the name 'AzureStorage'." I've installed the Azure Feature Pack for SSIS (SQL Server 2016), but no luck.  I tried installing 'Microsoft Azure Storage Connected Service', but it is only available for VS 2015.  What is the right way to implement AzureStorage connection managers in VS 2017?

Answers

  • I found the problem. Turned out not to be an issue with the Feature Pack at all.  The Azure Feature Pack was for SQL Server 2016, so changing the compatibility target on the Project from 2014 to 2016 resolved the errors.
