  • I have a a provider independent DAL.  I am completely rewriting our product (moving it from VB6 to VB.NET) so that we can interface with different database types: Access, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.  Our users can create as many "office"/database files as often and whenever they want to.  Here are my questions:  Can/Should I use stored procedures?  Am I going to run into SQL syntax issues? Should I create "stored procedures" that are embedded in the code of the application?  Thanks for any input.
