Cannot access product keys or downloads RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is the MSDN Subscriptions site down today?  I've been trying to access my account for obtaining product keys or downloads, and I can't get in.  I just get a page saying: "Sorry, we were unable to service your request."  This happens with multiple links, including the "My Account", "Downloads and Product Keys" and "Online Concierge Chat" links.

Is this just me?  Or is the site screwed right now?  Any ideas on when it will be up again?

  • Thanks for everyone's post

We had an outage this morning, and we're looking into the causes now.   Please reply back here, or hit up the 'site feedback' link on the Subscriber Downlodas page if you're having problems.

    Thanks,

  • I'm still getting the same problem. "Sorry, we were unable to service your request."  It's been happening for hours. All my download links are greyed out!! I've cleared my browser cache with no effect.

at the bottom of the page with the links to downloads and keys is a link to site feedback.

  • Sadly this still appears to be down.  If we could at least get some estimate on when it might be up that would be helpful... 15 minutes? 2 hours?  6 hours? 12 hours? 2 days? Weeks?  Something please.

  • WHOA! This thread got a lot of traffic.  My apologies for the delay in response here everyone.

We did have another outage this morning (August 13th) that was basically the same problem as the one reported yesterday, and our entire team apologizes for the availability this morning.

We did get an outage notification posted up on the download site during the outage, which hopefully let everyone know that we were working on the problem.

    Thanks,
    Mike

  • Having some major problems with the MSDN site. Cannot access downloads or keys, sometimes getting errors ("Sorry, we were unable to service your request"), sometimes page not loading at all.  And for a few minutes, when I tried to reply to this thread, it sent me to my My Profile page.  Online concierge chat is also not working.
