Azure antimalware not functioning - app is restricted

  • I just spun up a new VM to test the endpoint protection features for one of our client prospects. I got this problem:

    Installed Microsoft Antimalware for Azure Cloud Services and Virtual Machines. When I try to open the app (System Center Endpoint Protection) I get this error “"Your system administrator has restricted Access to this app."

    What is the use of installing endpoint prtoection whitout being able to administrate the application? I want to make sure it is running and working correctly and also configure scans, see antimalware or virus alerts etc....

    I followed the whitepaper for installation of the anitmalware option. If somebody could help me that would be great!

  • cd to the "program files/microsoft security client", then run "configsecuritypolicy cleanuppolicy.xml"

    This xml file is already in this directory.
