Windows App Certification Kit on desktop application

    Question

  • Dear all:

I try to use Windows App Certification Kit to certify my desktop application using the "Validate Desktop App" option.

During the test, the message below told me to restart if it needed.

If the installer requires a machine restart to complete the installation, please restart and resume validation when done.

But according to the whitepaper(Using the Windows App Certification Kit), it tells

"If prompted to reboot the system to complete setup, choose No." (From Page. 11)

The test results are different using the two actions.

Please give me an instruction to do the correct certification way.

    Thank you a lot!!

  • There has been a change in the kit behavior to allow reboots post install. The whitepaper doesn't seem to be updated to reflect that change, please follow the UI instructions.

    Thanks,

    Ibrahim
