  • Ohh, we fixed the first problem. We forgot to add the user in this tenant to the Azure subscription ;)

But now we get a new error:

2018-01-12.01-37-12: Initializing privileged JEA session with AzS-ERCS01. Attempt 0 of 3

    2018-01-12.01-37-22: Connection to AzS-ERCS01 successful

    2018-01-12.01-37-22: Verifying stamp version.

  • Hello,

The Azure Stack Resource Provider needs to be registered in the AzureCloud ARM environment with a Azure AD account that has subscription permissions.

Please run the following PowerShell to validate:

    Add-AzureRmAccount-EnvironmentName "AzureCloud"

The output will display the environment (should be AzureCloud) and subscription associated with the account.  Take note of the subscription ID and set it in the next command.

Set your subscription for the current session and retry registering the AzureStack Resource Provider again.

    Get-AzureRmSubscription-SubscriptionID 'SubscriptionID' | Select-AzureRmSubscription

Let us know how it goes.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your time and interest in Azure Stack.

If you experience any issues with Azure Stack or the current ASDK release, please feel free to contact us.

     Thanks

  • Good morning,

we tried the solution you proposed but we still get the same error message while trying to register the Resource Provider:

    Import-Module C:\AzureStack-Tools-master\Registration\RegisterWithAzure.psm1
    Add-AzureRmAccount -EnvironmentName "AzureCloud"

    Account          : ******@*****.onmicrosoft.com
SubscriptionName : Azure MSDN Visual Studio Premium
    SubscriptionId   : ********-****-****-****-************
    TenantId         : ********-****-****-****-************
    Environment      : AzureCloud

    Get-AzureRmSubscription -SubscriptionID '********-****-****-****-************' | Select-AzureRmSubscription

    Name             : [******@*****.onmicrosoft.com, ********-****-****-****-************]
    Account          : ******@*****.onmicrosoft.com
SubscriptionName : Azure MSDN Visual Studio Premium
    TenantId         : ********-****-****-****-************
    Environment      : AzureCloud

    Register-AzureRmResourceProvider -ProviderNamespace Microsoft.AzureStack

authorization to perform action 'Microsoft.AzureStack/register/action' over scope '/subscriptions/********-****-****-****-************'.

Is it possible that the user is missing any rights? The user we are using is Global Administrator for our Azure tenant. Or is it possible that there is a problem while using two different Azure tenants? We used a different Azure/Azure AD tenant while deploying Azure Stack and want to use another tenant for registering Azure Stack in Azure.
