Console Application Help Needed RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey I am doing a project at school in which i have to make a fully working console application which uses csv files to display a receipt. This receipt accesses the csv file so that You enter the product or gtin-8 code of the product you want a receipt of and then the quantity which displays it from the csv file and then displays the subtotal (so multiplies the price on the csv file with how much quantity you want) and then displays the total of the subtotals(loop for various products). This project counts for a third of my grade and if someone could help with this i would be very thankful and appreciative.

  • Hi Bayoogunts,

If you want to make a console application which use csv file, you should know what's csv file and how to read or write csv file. You can build your program, according to the following tutorials.

    1: Comma-separated values
CSV file stores tabular data (numbers and text) in plain text. Each line of the file is a data record. Each record consists of one or more fields, separated by commas. The use of the comma as a field separator is the source of the name for this file format.
