This extension is not installable on any currently installed products - error when trying to install Blazor. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I currently have dotnet 3.0 and I have VS 2019. I am trying to install Blazor, and when I try from the extensions menu, it does not show at all. When I try to install/ run via the marketplace website, this is the error I receive. I'm not really sure what I am missing here.

    The error I get is:

  • Blazor requires Visual Studio 2019 Preview 2 or later (16.2+), while you are on a regular VS 2019 channel (16.1).

  • Hi ogre14t,

    Welcome to MSDN forum.

As Sergey said, this extension is only support for VS2019 Preview version, but not for normal version(Community,Professional,Enterprise).

What is Preview: Visual Studio Preview gives you early access to the latest features and improvements not yet available in the main release. By trying Preview, you can take advantage of new builds and updates that ship on a frequent cadence.

So sometimes we can get latest features in preview version(earlier than normal ones) which can't be found in stable versions in the same time. Blazor is a good extension, I'm sorry for that may take some time before it supports stable versions of VS2019, so you can try it by installing Preview version which is for free like VS2019 community.

Thanks for your understanding. Any feedback would be expected.

    Best Regards

    Lance
