    Hi

    We have a requirement in which we have to create one function in .net and the function can be called by any technology like Java, PHP etc.  Is WCF be the ideal option?

    I am not arguing but learning - could you or should you use WebAPI with OData? I thought this was replacing WCF - or am I not understanding properly? If I am wrong - what is the distinction between why you would use WCF vs Web API with OData.

    Yes Web API is better than WCF.
