Scrollbar map mode

    Question

  • Hi,

I've turned on the map mode under scrollbar options in VisualStudio 2015. How do I get the font to be bigger. On my screen when I hover over the scroll map, the font is very small.

    Thx

  • Hi diamondknife ,

Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.

For your question, I reproduced the steps:

    1. I go to Tools>Options Text Editor>All Languages> Use map mode for vertical scroll bar, turn on this choice.

    2. Then I choose wide in Source overview, but I open my project and see the code in the scroll bar, the code font is still too small to see.

So I did a research about the Map mode, it is miniature look at the document so you can quickly get a feel for your code, so it’s really hard for you to see the code clearly in the scroll bar.

    Please refer to:

    https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/zainnab/2013/07/02/visual-studio-2013-preview-enhanced-scroll-bar/

The function of the map code is overviewing of code, currently there is not such setting to change the font in the scroll bar, if you would like to see the detailed code, you could navigate and see it in the source code page.

In addition, If possible, you could submit this featurerequest:

The Visual Studio product team is listening to user voice there. You can send your idea there so the others can vote it. If you submit this suggestion, you might post that link here which will benefit others who has the similar issue, I will vote it. Thanks for your understanding.
