bus driver appears in devices and printers window RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi,

we have a bus driver (PCI), when we install it, we can find it in the Devices and Printers window.

what is the reason for this behavior? it is not an external device...

it is not one this list (apears under What's in Devices adn Printers section in your documentation) :Portable devices (such as mobile phones, portable music players, and digital cameras), Devices that plug into a USB port, printers, Wireless devices, including Bluetooth devices and Wireless USB devices, my computer,Compatible network devices such as network-enabled scanners, media extenders, or Network Attached .

is it related the driver definition? if so, how can I change it?

    thanks in advanced!

  • You say you have a PCI bus driver, do you mean you have a PCI device you have written a bus driver for?  I doubt it is a PCI bus driver since those are system supplied.

Assuming my guess is correct, what is the device type of the PCI device?  What type of device(s) do you enumerate with the bus driver?  For that matter what version of Windows is this for?
