Excel Web App - access to Excel Data Model (e.g. in order to change pivot-table)?

    Question

  • Hallo everyone,

I am currently planning to migrate an Excel-Addin (VSTO) that allows users to dynamically change the structure of Pivot-tables (based on Powerpivot) to Apps - both for Excel 2013 on premise and Excel Web App.

I was unable to find any information if this would generally be possible. Is the object model of Excel in such a degree available for an app that changing values of slicers, adding and removing fields to a Pivot-table etc. is possible?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Best regards,

    Hasleas

  • dynamically change the structure of Pivot-tables (based on Powerpivot)

I don't think this is possible since powerpivot does not have api exposed.
