banner menu? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible to create a banner that is shared on my website (pages)?

i used to be able to do this in frontpage, by sharing borders, but I can not find this option on expressions.

If possible, I would like one that follows you down the screen as you browse making it easier to naviagte. (if that makes sense)

I have allready created the buttons I need. (for my home banner)

  • OK. Banners often mean the banner adverts you see on some sites and I initially thought you meant that. You can easily create a menu bar of the sort you want in the DWT.

You could take a look at some of the EW templates to see how they create the navigation menus.

  • You could have the banner on all your pages by basing the site around a Dynamic Web Template (DWT). There are several tutorials around about using these. See:

Having the banner float down the page is done using JavaScript but many users find this sort of thing very annoying and I'd advise against it.

Maybe you done in fact mean a banner, guiven that you are talking about uisng it for navigation. Do you just mean a page header?
