    in order to install python packages, I want to connect to a Ubuntu node.

    I go to connect, generate a user and try to connect in SSH with putty or powershell. But it's time out.

    Tho node is in the "idle" state but I don't know how to activate it.

  • Hello,

    I am using Azure Batch in order to run some python code which needs a few packages.

    On a local environment, I use pip install but this command seems not to be known on a node (I choose the Ubuntu version of VM, standard A1)

    One of my ideas was to install pio first, then call the "pip install" for packages. I didn't find any documentation explaining how to do that except this post on stackoverflow :

    and the command :

    bin/bash -c "sudo apt-get -y update && export DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive && sudo apt-get install -y python3-pip && sudo pip3 install pandas;"

    which gives me an error at node's star.

    Then I tried to connect in SSH to the node VM but I don't succeed and it is a time out in the putty window.
