touch ioctl not getting called in WEC7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

i am using WEC7 and AM37xx BSP the strange problem i am facing with touch driver is this :

I am using new touch driver archicture of CE7. When i enable kitl and download the image via eth, touch works and ioctls are called.

When i use the same BSP and build it for SD boot, touch ioctls are not getting called and eventually touch enable function is not called during init, hence doesnt work. For a workaround i forced touchenable() to be called during XXX_Init(), touch i2c works and coordinate datas are read by when passed to MDD, it doesnt take the action.

Which means none of the MDD functions are called in this case. where in during kital enabled eth boot all is fine.

Can you share your openion/sugession/experience in this regard.

    Thanks in advance.

  • And you are sure all required modules are included in the kernel? From your description it sounds like it has to be, but that's usually the reason stuff works when KITL is enabled and doesn't when not (because KITL can load the DLL from the desktop if it's not included in the kernel).

    Good luck,
