Unable to call Export Applet Error , when trying to get the Save as dialog box RRS feed

  • We use Oracle Primavera Contract Management Application (which is web based)

    We access it from Citrix Virtual Machines (on Windows OS) or the permanent desktops (which are also on Windows OS) -2008 R2

    We have an option to save the reports, which will open a Java based "Save as" dialog box

    Recently the users have been getting "unable to call Export Applet" error when clicking save as (where a  file saving prompt should have opened)

    I just browsed and got a fix to clear the applet cache (Control panel->Java-> Settings-> Delete Files ->Choose all the options and click OK, after this i am able to see the save as box, but this Fix is not working for my colleagues /or for the business users

    .. The only difference is Java version .. i have 7 update 85, they all have 8 update 161 in addition to 7 update 85
