Is there a way to convert vb.net application forms to asp.net web forms? RRS feed

    Hi,

    Not really. Web and desktop applications are really not working the same way so it is a full rewrite. The complexity depends on the app you are trying to port (make sure also it is suitable to a web app ie you have a very limited access to local resources).

    It's also probably worse than useless and likely was at the time. It doesn't look like a proper converter at all. It's not much more than a demo of how you can use CodeDOM.

    I agree with Patrice. You should view your existing VB application as a source for the functional requirements for a completely new web application, written from scratch.
