is there an easy way to develop a IE add-on(like in firefox?) RRS feed

  • i know BHO can developed using C++, and are unstable, but i'm looking for a way to develop an add-on which has access to the page's dom, and can manipulate it.

     

    is there .net way?

  • They don't work on x64 IE, javascript context menu's do.<wink> context menus have no footprint. They only get loaded when chosen by the user.

  • BHOs are only as unstable as the code that implements them.  Just make sure you type the right stuff and do lots of testing.  

    You can access the DOM from a BHO by implementing IObjectWithSite() and then querying your object for IWebBrowser2 then calling IWebBrowser2::get_Document().  

    You can do it in C# but I wouldn't recommend it for Good Reasons.
