Why are so many native Win 32 API's removed? RRS feed

  • I have been trying to work with Windows Store Apps after making a prototype in WPF. However, there have been so many hurdles to have to jump over with converting an application that utilizes XAML to a different version of XAML, it is annoying. I think this is why many developers don't make Windows Store applications. There really isn't too many aspects of WPF or Silverlight that is similar enough to Windows Store Development to make it worth while.
