Could not install npm tedious in function console RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am following the tutorial in "https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/learn/modules/build-ml-model-with-azure-stream-analytics/11-connect-db-and-function" but I was not able to install the "tedious" package correctly using "npm install tedious" (step 3 in the guide). I'm getting "Method not allowed" and "code E405" errors.

I read from "https://tediousjs.github.io/tedious/installation.html" that another option is to manually install the tedious package by copying the folder into the node_modules directory, but I have not figured out how to do this in the functions console. Can anyone help?

p.s. I was prevented from the site to post images or links (pending verification).

  • Hi Vic,

By following the same article, I’m able to install tedious without any issues.

Before installing tedious, make sure you have installed npm correctly.

In case, if you see the same error message, try to install npm by using the following cmdlet “npm install -g npm” to fix the issue.

For more details, refer similar issue discussed in “GitHub”.

    Hope this helps.
