  • Question

  • Can Power Pivot and MapPoint interact/communicate with each other? If not, why not? There is a large amount of demographic and other data contained in MapPoint. Accessible to Power Pivot?

  • David, I have never used MapPoint before, have heard from some colleagues who did. I am sure it is a good product. It just does not seem to be on the roadmap for Microsoft :-(
    Per http://www.microsoft.com/mappoint/en-us/home.aspx

MapPoint is being discontinued on 12/31/2014 and Power BI for Excel and Bing Maps are suggested as alternatives.

  • That is bad news for those that have built their career around this product.

It would be like selling Microsoft Office w/o access to Power BI :(

Is there a familiar theme here?
