  • Hi vkid12,

    What's the version of excel? Does the regular excel means the general excel file?

    To convert xml excel file to the general excel file, we could open that xml file through excel application by using Workbooks.Open method, then we could save that file to other place with different format by using Workbook.SaveAs method.

    Simple sample:

    Dim app As New Excel.Application
    app.Visible = False
    Dim wb As Excel.Workbook
    Dim path As String
    path = "XXX"
    Set wb = app.Workbooks.Open(path)
    wb.SaveAs filename:="XXX"
    Set wb = Nothing
    Set app = Nothing
