Get SharePoint Site Owner in InfoPath 2007 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

How can we get the current subsite Owner group name in infopath 2007 without writing code.

We have published the infopath xml file to the sub site. This xml will be deployed to various subsites programatically.

What we require is to get the Site Owner group name dynamically according to the sub site url of the infopath xml deployed.

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi Veena,

To get SharePoint user information in InfoPath form, in general, we can use InfoPath Data Connections to retrieve data from SharePoint web service, in this way, we can use SharePoint web service method to get data from SharePoint site, here is an example about “get user information without writing code”, for more information. Please refer to:

As to get SharePoint site owner, to existing web service, I haven’t found a method for this, you may need to custom web service, and integrate with InfoPath to achieve the requirements, here is an article about build custom SharePoint web service for InfoPath: http://www.developer.com/services/article.php/3492456
