VB 2008 Express Edition Registration

Question
-
I was prompted that after 30 days the VB would expire if I will not register it till then. It also says there that the registration is free. I hit the "Register now" hyperlink. The problem is that it leads to a page saying that "We are sorry, the page you requested cannot be found" ... How will I ever register the VB then? Thank you.Wednesday, April 8, 2015 4:33 PM

I don't believe registration of VB 2008 is possible any longer. You can however download the current free version of Visual Studio: Visual Studio 2013 Community.
If for some reason you must use an out of date version, I have been told (but can't confirm) that you can install Visual Studio 2008 Express from the iso image without having to register.

Hello, Cynthia M11.
Blackwood's and Kevininstructor's advice is excellent, and you really should follow it and use VS 2013 Community Edition if possible.
However, if there is some reason you MUST have VS 2008 Express and no other version will do...
Just VS 2008 Express
VS 2008 Express SP1
Several discussions indicate that the ISO versions do not require registration, but I cannot confirm that from personal experience.

I second Blackwood's recommendation. Newer versions allow you to code using earlier Frameworks if that is why you want VS2008.
Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help, this will help others who are looking for solutions to the same or similar problem.
