Azure DB User defined assembly support

I get this when trying to port an existing DB to Azure DB

Assembly 'xxxxx' cannot be loaded because Azure SQL Database does not support user-defined assemblies. Contact Azure Technical Support if you have questions.

Is this something that's going to be supported in the (near) future or something that can be enabled per subscription?

Azure DB supports (some) user-defined assemblies as a V12 (see https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/sql-database-transact-sql-information/#features-partially-supported-in-sql-database-v12 ). Only "permission_set = safe" assemblies are supported.

Because this is a fairly recent development, if you ARE using a V12 database and still get the message, it's possible that the tool you're using is hardcoded to expect the behavior of pre-V12.
