.Net Core project - how to produce nuget package with a valid description?

    Question

  • I have a .Net core project in vs 2015.

Currently it is producing a Nuget package as the build output and that is great.

However i'd like to have a bit more control over the metadata.

In the project.json file, the packOptions do not include a description.  As a result, the description being generated for my package is the project's namespace.  I tried creating a nuspec file in the project directory but this doesn't seem to have any effect.

    What can I do here?

Could you share me a screen shot about the above result? How did you want to add the description for your package?

    Like this document here:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/articles/core/tools/project-json

It really doesn't have the description in the packOptions property, how did you use the nuspec file in your side?

    Best Regards,

    Jack
