# HELP - how to make a row to display total of a matrix

• ### Question

• Count Number of Visits Sun 1/1 Mon 1/2 Tue 1/3 Wed 1/4 Thu 1/5 Fri 1/6 Sat 1/7 Week1 Total Sun 1/8 Mon 1/9 Tue 1/10 Wed 1/11 Thu 1/12 Fri 1/13 Sat 1/14 Week2 Total person x 1 1 2 1 1 1 1 8 1 1 2 1 1 1 1 8 person y 1 1 1 3 1 2 1 1 5 1 2 2 2 2 1 2 11 1 1 3 3 2 2 1 13

I got everything right except the bottom row, which is supposed to show the total visits per day.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

• It seems you are using a matrix and you have a dynamic column group based on =Fields!Person.Value.

You can right-click the column group header and you should see a "add subtotal" menu item, which will add a subtotal.  The subtotal cells use the same expression as regular matrix cells - therefore make sure the matrix cell value expressions use an aggregate function, such as =Sum(...) or =Count(...)

• Robert,

I am using a matrix with grouping and I have 2 subtotals. One is column and the other is a row. What I'm looking to do is subtract the values in the subtotal column and have the difference in the subtotal row.
