Which IVs* interfaces I need to use to get the same result as DTE2.Debugger.ExecuteStatement(...)? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I can declare custom variable using DTE2.Debugger.ExecuteStatement("int newVar = 0;") call.

Now, I think every DTE2 functionality can be achieved using proper IVs* interface. So far I tried IDebugExpression2.EvaluateSync(...), but this gives an error that statements are valid only in immediate window. Which interface should I use to achieve my goal without touching DTE2.Debugger.ExecuteStatement()?

  • Hi Przemyslaw,

After doing some research, I could not find any specified IVs* interfaces to implement your requirements.

Please try other kinds of interfaces for your needs.

  • Przemyslaw,

I think you have found the right interface DTE2.Debugger. .

I feel sorry for that I am not able to provide other interfaces at present.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Best Regards,

    Jane.
