SoundLevelChanged not firing?

    Question

  • I am trying to subscribe for sound level notifications like this:

    Windows.Media.MediaControl.onsoundlevelchanged = function () {
        content.innerText = "changed";
    };

    It does fire sometimes (most notably, when switching from/to application), but never for actual sound level changes (even from/to mute level). What am I doing wrong?

    I've created a simple project to illustrate the problem: http://sdrv.ms/VoABj7. It simply listens for SoundLevelChanged notification and sets the window content to "changed" when it detects one. On my desktop, on my tablet, and in the VS simulator, I see nothing firing when I change the sound level.

  • Hi Mythanar,

    I am also facing the same scenario when change volume keys manually. And I will do further testing, any discovery will let you know.

    Thank you for your support!
