you are not authorized to view this page give and os is XP.

this give me error when i browse the wesite

i need urgent solution

Make sure IUSR_yourmachinename has NTFS Read permissions to everything in C:\inetpub\wwwroot.

My folder has all permission then also i get the error access denied

Is it prompting you to logon or just displaying that message right away?  What is the exact message? Do you want it to prompt you to logon? Is there anything appearing in the System or Application event logs?

There is logon screen come and when i add the username and password,they doesn't match even i add true .then after i add 3 times then this eror will come so plz give me immediately soluction thanks

After the 3rd prompt, what do you see ? 401.1? login failed or what kind of error msgs?

"Page Can not be Displayed" This error msg  comes.

anything in event viewer? also test a simple hello.html. put the file at c:\inetpub\wwwroot\

then test browse http://localhost/hello.html

what do you get?
