SMB reading slowly RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello Community,

we write over smp with 4 threads to a smb server very fast 800 MB/sec.

We read over smb with 4 threads from the same smb server with a maximum speed of 80 MB/sec.

Our system has 4 CPUs with each 8 kernels. While reading over smb with four threads, the reading system uses only 1 kernel with a utilization of 100%.

The tool we used is FIO.exe. It is a tool for testing maximum speed in smb networks.

About answer I would be happy and kind regards
