Windows Phone Apps: Content Policies 3.7: "Certain Types of illegal activities" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am having some confusion with the final point in this section:

"Any content that facilitates or promotes underage drinking, consumption of illegal drugs, or socially irresponsible behavior due to alcohol or drug consumption (e.g., drinking and driving)."

The first clause is subject to ambiguity, under which countries laws is the minimum drinking age to be extrapolated from?
after some research i have found it to be 21 in the USA (correct me if i'm wrong) but 18 in many other countries such as my own, England.
In fact it is as young as 16 for beers and wines in both Germany and Italy, as well as some other European Countries.

The point i am trying to make is that, i could happily make an app involving the consumption of alcohol at 18, for distribution focused on the UK and Europe, but would that cause a problem with people downloading the app in the USA?

Cheers in advance for considering my poorly worded question,
